On the 28th of May, Rijeka welcomed the biggest vessel calling the port. The CMA CGM CENDRILLON is operated and owned by the CMA CGM Group.
Corroborating the engagement to expand the Croatian market, the CMA CGM Group is pleased to be the first carrier to introduce large vessel capacity in Rijeka, which has become a core port in the Adriatic with an ongoing development.
The CMA CGM CENDRILLON is an 8500-TEU vessel (334m) and will be added in the fixed-day and weekly Phoenician Express service that connects Asia and the Adriatic Sea. The 8500-TEU vessels will increase the loading capacity of the CMA CGM local service, connecting 15 ports calling China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Egypt, Lebanon, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
By a wide range of intermodal connections, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Central Europe countries will be benefited by the shorter route and the best transit times.
As the first shipping line to offer direct services linking Asia and the Adriatic, since 2003, CMA CGM has been striving for excellence and has been constantly upgrading its activities on this trade.
